Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Maen ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. About the Platform

Maen is a discovery platform that connects clients with hairstylists based on their specialties and focus areas. We help clients find stylists who are known for the specific services they excel at, rather than browsing generic service lists. Maen facilitates the connection between clients and independent hairstylists but is not a party to any agreement between them. Maen does not employ stylists and is not responsible for the performance, safety, or outcomes of services provided by stylists.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

4. Stylist Profiles

Stylists are responsible for the accuracy of their profile information, including services offered, pricing, availability, and portfolio images. Maen does not verify or guarantee the qualifications, credentials, or quality of work of any stylist listed on the Platform. Maen does not guarantee that clients will find available stylists or that stylists will receive bookings through the Platform.

5. Bookings & Payments

Any appointments, bookings, or transactions arranged through the Platform are solely between the client and the stylist. Maen is not responsible for disputes, cancellations, no-shows, or the quality of services rendered. Payment terms, cancellation policies, and other arrangements are determined by individual stylists.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Platform
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials on the Platform are owned by Maen or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of any content they upload to the Platform (including portfolio images). By uploading content, you grant Maen a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, and use such content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Platform.

You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload such content, including consent from any individuals appearing in photographs or other media.

Maen reserves the right to remove or restrict access to any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.

8. Limitation of Liability

Maen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the Platform, or third parties. You may also delete your account at any time.

10. Platform Changes

Maen may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform or any part thereof.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be exclusively resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
